Sound engine
Our main building is the heart of the Academy, housing key departments such as Reception, Marketing, and Finance. It features four top-quality studios and lecture halls, equipped with state-of-the-art analog and digital mixers for the highest level of production. A dedicated blue screen room allows for professional filming, while the Foley room is designed for advanced sound design work. Additionally, the theatre room provides an ideal space for viewing and critiquing video projects, making it the perfect environment for both learning and hands-on experience in the media and production fields.

Engine Room 1
Installing the Amek Classic console in the Scoring Studio (January 2016).
This room features perforated concrete walls and slatted maple timber structures that produce a bright yet diffuse acoustic response, suitable for recording choirs and chamber orchestras, or for that big Led Zeppelin rock drum sound.
This studio places an Amek Classic, feeding a Pro Tools HD system,
with the sound engineer and the producer, right in the midst of the
orchestra. The producer and musicians can thus get immediate
playback of music cues, in 5.1 in sync with picture on the big screen.

Engine Room 2
Engine Room 2 is one of four control rooms at the Sound Engine building. It is also the managing director’s office and classroom, accommodating 16 students. The studio is equipped with a host of analogue gear and a Pro Tools HD3 Accel system with 32 analogue inputs and 24 analogue outputs. It's the perfect environment to conduct critical analogue to digital comparisons, as it offers the best of both worlds.

Engine Room 3
The 80-seat main dub stage features Pro Tools HD, a Studer Vista console, JBL M2 5.1 monitoring, and a 4.5m x 2.8m screen. It’s ideal for mixing and showcasing film and television projects, as well as a great space for hosting large theory classes.
Engine Room 4
Installing the S6. This room was designed for 5.1 mixing and is equipped with eight Pro Tools HDX systems, an Avid S6, and RedNet interfaces. This studio accommodates classes of up to 16 students and is primarily used for Pro Tools 201, 210M and 210P classes. It is also a favourite mix room for student projects.
