5Audio1

Audio Theory and Practice 1

The student is introduced to the fundamental concepts of hearing, the human ear and to the fundamental and basic concepts of the physics of sound.

The primary elements of a sound wave are described. It is then demonstrated that manipulations of these elements can result in a variety of common sound processing tasks and effects. These principles are then applied to common sound processing practices by demonstrating the function of specific devices commonly used in the industry.
